Goddammit, I just... I WANT Gingrich to win, okay? Not necessarily because Obama has a better chance of beating him than Romney. Not necessarily because I want Gingrich to get the presidency and really show people how fucked up the GOP is. I want him to win the primary for the same reason that Jon Stewart wants him to win the primary. It would be so goddamned :popcorn:
Well, those are national polls. Gingrich still has solid leads in a few early primary states... he's got something like 10 points on Romney here in South Carolina. (And the website just updated with some more polls, and in one of those, Gingrich has a 13 point advantage.)
So I fully expect that the first several states will be mixed between Gingrich and Romney with Ron Paul as a spoiler. After the first 10 or so, though, when Perry, Santorum, Huntsman, and Bachmann haven't won any and probably drop out, the race will heat up even more.
