Last night's debate has Newt Gingrich on the defensive over his statements on illegal immigration.

You see, instead of calling for a deadly laser-grid at the border, he appeared to advocate for some sort of amnesty program. Which, of course, when translated into Teabaggerese, means that he's just to the left of Che Guevara. And of course, Bachmann hammered him on it. And Romney.

Because (and I can't believe I'm saying this), when Newt Gingrich takes a stand on something that makes him look centrist IN COMPARISON TO OTHERS IN THE FIELD.... we can't have that.

That being said, Gingrich is still a scumsicle, and if anything, this makes Bachmann look even more like the crazy psycho that she is. But she can't get the nomination anyway, so....

I can't bring myself to watch the Ms/Mr Moron of the GOP show.

And it is crazy. My son had a comment to his blog yesterday blasting him for attacking REthuglicans...the commentor said he shouldn't attack "liberal Republicans" like the Bushes...Sr. and Jr. This made him laugh wildly, and me too...till I realized that compared to the current crop of slippery-slope-to fascism-sleigh-riders, they ARE 'liberal'.

I have to go through all of this, stone cold sober.

I hear you. With some recent events, I've been utterly and absolutely sober as well. Regretfully so.

Because yeah, cruel and unusual punishment....
