uh huh

Cain: "I lost the body." "I didn't sign any agreement."

Look, I'd have more faith in Cain (no pun intended), if he hadn't changed his story eleventy times in three days. While it's certainly possible that he didn't sign the settlement agreement, the fact that he went through all those stages of standard politician denial means he was damn well aware of the whole thing.

But hey, I wasn't going to vote for him anyway.

He sure is providing a lot of entertainment, tho.

Was that a subtle Vampire tM pun?

[personal profile] jdack 2011-11-04 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I have no idea what any of that is.

NONE? No Bloom County at all? Fuck, you have seriously missed out.

Go to Amazon.com and look it up, then see if anyone has a cheap copy of the anthology. If not, torrent the shit outta that shit!

Was it a newspaper comic? I never really got into those.

It was a newspaper comic back in the early 80s (ended around... 87, I think?) written by a liberal who didn't give a fried fuck how much hate mail he got. It was well-done, well-voiced, well-parodied, and succeeds at political views whereas Doonesbury has always failed miserably.

Explains why I never saw it. For one thing I was seven when it ended :P

And nothing liberal was ever allowed in my house.

Huh, we really are the same age! Solidarity!

I didn't discover it via newspaper - I actually discovered it via clothing donation. I used to inherit clothes from kids whose father worked with my mom, and one time the donation came with a Bloom County compilation (1984 range). I've been hooked ever since, and that first book is still on my shelf.

I actually have no problem with my physical age - just this fucking fibromyalgia bullshit that's making my life-experience kind of shitty.

I imagine so.

I just notice everything hurts more since hitting the 30's. Sorer in the morning, sorer after a full day at the desk, cold weather is more awful, etc.

I guess I'm just used to it, but I've had tendon inflammation/swelling since I was 11, and minor arthritis in my hands since I was 16. I got old early. ;)

But if you want some relief from the early-onset aches, nab some Pineapple Extract (available in chewable pill form, like Vit C) and take 2 of 'em twice a day. It really does help.
