Rick Perry is thinking about skipping some or all of the rest of the debates.

His argument is that there are too many debates, and they are there for no other reason then to tear down the candidates. As Perry is doing a good enough job of that on his own (including flirting with the birther morons), he doesn't need to go to the debates and confirm his moron status.

Yes, I'm biased. The man is, IMAO, an idiot. An idiot with nice hair, but an idiot nonetheless.

This is the same Perry that refused to do ANY debates during the last governor's election in Texas, yes?

*shrug* I'm not from Texas, so I barely paid attention to him before he decided to run for President watch his campaign spiral into the ground like a plane piloted by a blind guy.

Politifact had the best quick Google search I could find. Basically, Perry had such a lead over the Dem candidate that he figured he shouldn't have to embarrass himself trying to debate the guy. And it worked, sadly.

It isn't going to work this time. Gingrich and Santorum, who have being polling consistently behind Perry (well, Gingrich was ahead of Perry by 1 point recently, but ehhh...), are taking him to task for it, and I doubt they're going to be the only ones.

So if he stays away, he's fucked, and if goes to the debates... well, it will just continue to verify his duncehood.

Better to not debate and have others think you a fool than to debate and remove all doubt, eh?

Man, you know it's bad if you're being taken to task by Gingrich.

Well, Gingrich has been known to talk about ethics too, so honestly, there's no horseshit too foul to pass his lips.
