Well, that's going to be interesting.
Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas is going to demand full U.N. membership next week. Since he's going for full membership, that means that if any permanent members of the Security Council veto, it isn't going anywhere.
And since the U.S. has already said they'd veto it....
Which means that Abbas will probably then try the "non-member state" route, which goes before the General Assembly and isn't subject to a one-vote veto.
And no doubt, one or more of the Republican presidential candidates will stick their foot in their mouth over the whole damn thing.
