That's... uh.... man, what?

Catholic Church defends their position in not ordaining women.

Barring women from being Catholic priests is not the result of sexism 2,000 years ago, it's because women cannot fulfill a basic function of the priesthood, "standing in the place of Jesus," a leading British Catholic thinker argued Monday.

He went on to say that the Catholic Church would get back to us on that whole "molesting children" thing. (Yes, still ripping off this, from waaaaay before he started drawing cats.)

Jesus hung out with hookers and thieves, made his own hooch, and wore robes all over the place. Don't tell me there wasn't a Sunday when he didn't pull some whore aside and say, "look, I've got a hangover that would split the stone tablets - again - would you mind very much standing in for me? Here, I've got an extra robe - just stand far enough back on the top of that hill and just sort of yell down at everyone and wave your arms every now and then. Nobody will know the difference."

And thus, the Sermon on the Mount.
