Probably a terrible idea
There is this series of books "Left Behind", where basically, the Rapture happens, the Antichrist becomes the Secretary-General of the U.N. blah blah blah blah blah blah....
Anyway, what about a more tongue-in-cheek version? The Rapture happens, only it's not just devout Christians who are 'Raptured'. Devout Muslims go to Paradise, devout Buddhists go to Nirvana, and so forth. All that would be left behind are agnostics, atheists, and the not-very devout.
Instead of the world being thrown into chaos by such events, it's a lot calmer, as there's less people, no one's screaming about their religion any more, and so forth.
Call it "Left Behind: And loving it"

The 700 Club aired it's last show today, because although Pat Robertson wasn't 'called home', nearly all of his followers were, and the lack of advertiser interest in his program block didn't please the remaining ABC executives.

(You do get my point though? The idea that a "go to the happy afterlife" isn't a solely Christian thing?)
