Not shocked at all

South Carolina passes "guilty until proven guilty" law.

On probation or parole? You too can be searched without cause or a warrant!

And I'm not shocked that it passed unanimously. No politician wants to look soft on crime.

Edit: And no, I'm not soft on crime either. You do the crime, you do the time. But requiring warrants for searches has existed for a reason. And we all know that no cops in this state would ever, EVER abuse this ability to do a warrantless search of someone on probation/parole. EVER.

I didn't know the Supremes had already said it was okay.

Still. Your state worries me, some days.

My state worries me most of the time. I swear, at times it seems like they're still trying to enter the 20th century.
