You know, if the right-wingers are going to try and blame Obama's administration for that Nigerian 'underwear bomber', they might want to stop blocking the appointment of the head of the TSA. (Thank you Jim DeMint, for continuing to make South Carolina politicians look like pinheads.)

But nah, that wouldn't make sense.... the Republicans have to try and derail everything Obama does because he's a secret Muslim or he's a socialist or whatever their excuse du jour is.

(Never mind the fact that the failed bomber wasn't on the TSA watchlist or DO NOT FLY list, and largely it's after the fact that it's obvious that he was headed towards extremism. The guy's own father didn't think he was going to try and blow up a plane.)

Honestly? The TSA is largely just making it less appealing to fly when one of your endpoints is the US. If traveling overseas, I'd rather drive to Mexico or Canada and catch a plane from there.

And they're not making us any safer. I can tell you that as someone who had a pass to go on the ramp at an international airport.
