Psh. Cheney doesn't want it. He doesn't want to deal with all the bullshit of last time squared.

Even if he was the cause of about a third of it.

Oh I know. He's even (thankfully) recently said he doesn't want to run for President.

It's just that the thought of makes my stomach turn.

I'm still waiting for a decent candidate to come out of the republican party for 2012.

If that fails, I may just vote 3rd party. Obama is trying to look more like Kennedy, but he's looking more and more like Carter.

I think you're going to be waiting a while.

Assuming that he doesn't implode between now and then, Huckabee will probably run for the nomination. Probably Romney too. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Palin run for it, although if we're really lucky, either she won't, or everyone will treat it as the joke that it is.

But it's still really too early to tell. Hell, if Sanford hadn't been caught having an affair, I would have been surprised if he hadn't run for the nomination.
