That's odd... usually they just cover that shit up.

Assistant Attorney General fired after being pulled over while driving around with an 18 year-old stripper.

Okay, it says "employee of Platinum Plus", not stripper, but unless she's the coat-check girl....

Edit: It gets better. It seems that the officer who should have arrested the Assistant AG is married to one of the Assistant AG's co-workers. And the cop conferred with his wife over the phone about whether he should let the guy go without being charged. And they (the assistant AG and the stripper) weren't pulled over in a car. They were having sex in a cemetery.

So it's OK to fire a prosecutor for fucking a stripper in a graveyard, but it's not OK to impeach a governor for sneaking off to Argentina to fuck his mistress?

I'm confused.

Well, see, the prosecutor can be fired easily. Removing the Governor requires impeaching him.... which the state legislature might get around to in January.

The way it seems to have played out, the state legislature had already closed their session just a few days before Sanford "walked the Appalachian trail" got him some more Argentinian poontang, and while they did meet for a special session yesterday, a procedural rule (so they say) kept them from bringing up a motion of impeachment.

Sandford could solve the whole fucking thing by resigning, because it's not like he's got a political career after this, but nooooooo....
