Okay, I have a replacement TV. It works fine.
But I can't seem to get it and my VCR to talk (I can't record a damn thing but static). Apparently, I'm doing something wrong, but I have no idea what.
I can play tapes. That's not a problem. I just can't record anything, which is, to put it lightly, wierd.

On second thought, you'd better not take any electronic advice from me. My 13-year-old is the family technician for a very good reason. :)
P.S. Most VCR manufacturers have their user manuals online these days. Maybe worth a try?

As it stands, there can't be that many possible combinations of ways to hook these things up such that it will work.
