I don't suppose there's such a thing as an electric blanket that cools instead of heats?

The problem comes in where do you put the heat? An electric blanket is basicly turning electricity into heat, and you can make an electric blanket that moves heat around some (cooling one side while heating the other) at a net increase in heat... but nothing that just removes heat and turns it into something else.

Even air conditioners raise the heat on the outside in favor of cooling on the inside.

You fill it with a thin layer of water, hook that to a cooling pump and plug the sucker in.

But I've never seen one outside of a hospital.
