There's yet another fucking Republican debate tonight, and this is really the first with Gingrich as a viable front-runner.
Which means, of course, that the other candidates should savage him like a pack of pre-schoolers on a box of defenseless Graham crackers.
I expect:
1) The bare minimum of attention paid to anything that Santorum or Huntsman says.
2) Same goes for Gary Johnson, if he's even invited.
3) Ron Paul will say something, but who cares?
4) Michelle Bachmann will say something crazy, but who cares?
5) Rick Perry will say something, and fuck it up, but who cares?
6) Cain will promote his 9-9-9 plan, and insist he didn't sexually harass anyone. Especially these that he's never met, even when he worked with them.
7) Romney and Gingrich will compete for most airtime of the debate as Republicans around the country go "Well, he's not Mitt Romney." when they look at Gingrich, and then realize... "Oh fuck, but he is Newt Gingrich."
Predictions: None of the candidates who are polling under 5 points (Bachmann, Santorum, Hunstman, Johnson (if he's there)) will get any substantial gains. Rick Perry will embarrass himself again, which is sad, considering how much he's been practicing in a mirror lately. A week after Black Friday, Gingrich will have sunk 10 points in the polls, and the attention of the "Anyone but Mitt Romney" crowd will turn to someone else.
