what the hell

Scan my interest list and pick out the one that seems the most odd to you. Leave a comment asking me about it, and I’ll explain it.

Then post this in your journal so other people can ask you about your interests.

AD&D stands for Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, which is a Role-playing game. (actually, it hasn't been called AD&D in years, but I'm a lazy bastard who never got around to calling it just D&D)

In (mostly) simple terms, it's a high-fantasy game, with magic, monsters, and in some ways, far, far too many rules. It contains a number of the standard fantasy genre standards (think Tolkein and you aren't far off... D&D ripped off a lot of ideas from Tolkein), and is probably one of the better selling Role-playing games in the world.

The current version of D&D uses something called the d20 system, which they have made an Open Source System (so the basic mechanics are free for any other game company to use), which has caused a lot of game companies to make their own d20 books.
