Considering that the prosecution's witnesses have basically crushed him thus far, it's not like he has a whole lot to lose at this point, but it's generally not a good idea for the "52 counts of sexual abuse" defendant to take the stand in his own defense.
See, you can't be compelled to incriminate yourself. That's the whole "pleading the Fifth" thing. But anything you say can be used against you. And let's face it... if the prosecution has any brains whatsoever, they're going to let Sandusky hang himself with his own testimony.
