So...

I have a Kindle Fire. It is neat.

For some reason, it doesn't like connecting to dropbox, so I have to upload PDFs through the Amazon page for doing so, but ehh....

Now, what it needs is a compatible external keyboard, because the on-screen one.... it is not intended for someone with fat-finger-itis. (Look, I'm good on normal keyboards, okay?)

Having not held a Kindle, here's some guesses:

If it has a standard USB port, certain USB keyboards might be compatible.

Nab one of the keyboards meant to be used with a smartphone if it's got one of those kinds of ports.

Become Techno-Guru and hook it up to the existing computer, thus making everything talk to everything else, except then that kind of defeats the purpose of having a Kindle in the first place.
