Okay, in the past, I've bitched about people who can't operate fax machines. Yes, sad to say, there are college-age people who can't grasp how to work one. I get that. I accept that.

Elevators, however, have been around a lot longer, and it's really simple. Push the button for the floor you want to go to. Not the floor above it. Not the floor below it. The floor you want. And certainly not every damn floor in between the one you're on and the one you're going to.

And when the hell did the common courtesy of letting people who are in the elevator car get out before stuffing your way past them go away? Seriously, it's simple. Door opens, you let people get out of the elevator BEFORE you go in.

AND YOU KIDS GET OFF MY DAMN LAWN!

The thing that blows about fax machines is they keep changing shit from model to model without clear instructions on the device. Like here I've installed one that you put the document face down, another that you put it face up, etc.

But yeah the elevator is not a confusing device unless you're Amish.

Oh yeah, we've got two fax machines at work that are 'face down' and one that is 'face up'. Here's the kicker, though. Both of the 'face down' fax machines are where any customers can use them AND they have instructions clearly visible on them saying 'face down'.

The one that is 'face up' is where you have to hand it to an employee (i.e. me) to fax it for you.

And at least once a week, I have to explain that no, those out there are 'face down'.
