56 hours
That's roughly how long the "second round" of the rules-list for vampire 6.0 was open.
56 hours.
Prior to it's opening up again on the 11th, it had been closed for almost a month. But hey, they've only had around 600 posts instead of the 800+ from last time, so maybe they'll only be down for three weeks, tops two and a half, before opening back up and blatantly ignoring things again.
And people wonder why I'm so fucking cynical...

And iirc...
Great idea... Put out the first revision of the new rules when the NST, and lots of other people are at a hotel and there is ONE computer...
Bet LOTS of peopl egot a good look at that stuff...
Jesus...
And no, I no longer wonder...
Re: And iirc...
The rules process is open to everyone in the Cam. Waiting a weekend for one convention in one nation would have been stupid. There will be other drafts. And since the NST is on the Rules Team, she doesn't exactly need to be there when it's released, she can read the comments at her leisure. The rules arn't written in real-time, after all.
How the hell did someone as dumb as you find the twenty bucks to join? Mom's allowance?
Re: And iirc...
From my own records of the e-mails, the second draft was open for about 56 hours. Discounting the "standard" 16 hours of work and another 16 for sleep, that leaver 24 hours for people to look at the list, assuming they have the free time to do so, and are not "burdened" with other things like children, other interests, etc.
Finally, even before the damn thing closed, I know for a fact that not all the e-mails were getting through. Several of the ones I sent never appeared on the list. And if they were judged, by a moderator, one would assume, to not be "worthy" of inclusion, then damnit, there should be some sort of stock message sent back to say so.
Frankly, I'm not only pissed about how this thing is being brought off, but their timing, as asserted, does indeed suck rocks.

Unless, of cource, you are not able to reply to the rules list within the 36 hours they actually keep it open....
