The sound on my computer occasionally stutters, when I'm using WinAMP or watching videos on YouTube. It seems to correlate to when I'm reloading a few pages at once, but other times, it just happens.

... I hope it's not my computer shitting itself to death again.

I'd bring up task manager and go to the performance tab and then play a tune and load some tabs. Curious to see if your CPU or RAM spikes when it happens.

What's your page file set to?

There's some mild spikes. The page file size is 3369 Mb. I think part of the problem is that Firefox is such a friggin' memory hog.

Yeah that's going to be part of it. I ditched it for Chrome long ago and never looked back.

Yup-one thing worth considering, create a new firefox profile, or remove some of the lesser used extensions.

On my old lowish spec netbook, I found my Fx profile had got so corrupted it was eating 90% of RAM fairly regularly, for no real reason.

Run for the same time on a new profile with the same sort of activity it was down to 50% ish, which given how low spec it was was about right.
