Occupy Wall Street is apparently supporting a "Bank Transfer Day" to take place on or by November 5th.

I suspect many banks would be closed on the 5th, as it's a Saturday, but still....

Oh, THAT....yes. I have to call my bank to inquire whether they intend to jack fees on the debit card.
Most banks here are open Saturday mornings at least; but a number of the credit unions are not.

Yeah, I'm almost certainly going to be switching to a credit union. Bank of America can go fuck itself.

I'm not a BOA customer; I don't know what my bank plans to do. Sooo....we will see.

I'm TD Bank right now, and I'm ready to run screaming. It's only health issues that have kept me from transferring already. What set me off isn't the debit fees (which they haven't said anything about yet), but they way they restructured their computer system to charge Overdrafts IN ADVANCE. "Well, you *look* like you're going to be in the negative, so DING! DING! DING!" Literally. The program isn't designed to see pending deposits, or even wait until said pending transactions are no longer pending. They'll just yank your account and you have to fight to get the damn charges reversed.

Holy crap?? In advance?? Fuuuuuuuck.
