Well, did the re-install

The computer is working again.

Couple problems:

1) I completely forgot to backup my copy of Eudora, so I've lost all my old e-mail. That's a minor problem, really. However, I can't remember how to set it up to get my e-mail right now. Bugger.

2) I still have to re-install DAOC, as oddly enough, the 1800+ Mb entire game directory did not want to save easily or nicely to CD.

The e-mail one is actually the bigger pain in the ass.

Edit: E-mail problem fixed. My bellsouth e-mail is back and running. DAOC is also back and running. Much quicker then I thought it would be, as well. Even re-installed my custom interface.

did you use knoppix?

You know, I tried. At work last night, I tried to download it, but apparently, there's some issue on the computer I used about trying to download a 700 Mb file, where it will act like it downloaded it, it will tell you it's complete, and even let you burn it to CD.

But when you try and use it, bugger all.

I just said "To Hell With It!" and re-installed XP. I've got the install disks for most everything I want to put back on here. It's just I don't have the settings I need for my e-mail through my Bellsouth account, and I've got a lot of mp3s to recover from various mp3 CDs I have lying around.

Got a lot of it already taken care of, actually. As soon as I can, though, I'm going to download Knoppix here at home and save that bastard to CD. That way, I don't have to deal with the shitty work-computers that lie to me.

Oh, hey, what was the program you recommended for CD burning? You mentioned it at Publick House last Monday.
