Yeah, I think the huge fucking fires inside had something to do with it. Considering that he probably hasn't used his Civil Engineering degree much since at least 2003 (if not even earlier then that), I don't think he's the most qualified to speak on the matter. (For the record, I haven't used my Mechanical Engineering degree for much of anything since 1996, but I don't go around claiming all sorts of wild theories based on it either.)

By choice? I knew a guy at my first tech support job who seemed very happy working there, intentionally not getting promoted, just doing the grind.
