Ah yes. That's the t.v. show that led to me picking up my first gratuitous torture-porn book, since it used the same damn title and had nothing on it to warn me of the fact that it wasn't related to the t.v. stuff.

It was certainly an eye-opener. In the "GAH I READ ALL OF THIS WHY!!??!" sense.
Now I wouldn't blink at it except to probably say "This is so horribly written!". But at 16 it was An Event.
