In the ongoing "News of the World" hacking scandal, one of the whistleblowers in the matter is dead. Okay, he had, according to the article, a history of drug and alcohol problems, but still....

Also, two of London's top cops have resigned in the wake of the scandal, which has also alleged to police bribery.

Of course, Murdoch's U.S. publications are either largely ignoring the scandal or blasted critics of News Corp.
