Norcal and SopCal are two separate and distinct states of mind, and diametrically opposed, already.

Sad thing is, SoCal will probably turn out to be a red state, or at least very purple, whereas NorCal will stay blue.

Especially since that plan deliberately excludes Los Angeles and Ventura.

Which any -reasonable- person would place in SoCal.

Aye, that's a very weird place to draw the line. Saw this earlier elsewhere, makes it fairly clear where the nor/south line is.

The reason is, very specifically, to make the new state a Republican stronghold, rather than Democrat.

If you were to add in Los Angeles, it would shift the demographic completely.

SoCal would probably be red but, honestly, NorCal would be pretty damn purple. The only places in the state that are truly liberal are the Bay Area, L.A., San Diego, and Humboldt county. The rest of the state is red.

Won't fucking happen. The south needs the food that comes from the north too much and the north needs the money that comes from the south too much.
