So, if the federal government shuts down today, the military will continue operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.... they just won't pay the troops while it's happening.
Yeah, yeah... I know... IF the shutdown happens, WHEN it gets resolved, those troops will get their back pay, but.... you know, I sure as fuck wouldn't want to be running combat ops effectively for free.
But hey, those fuckers in Congress will still get paid if the shutdown happens. Nice, huh?
