Once again, it came from the D&D game

Early during the last game session (on Monday), the doorbell rang, and it turned out to be missionaries.

Now, I wasn't the one answering the door (Jason, the guy who lives there did), but everyone at the gaming table could hear pretty much everything that was said by the missionaries.

And you know, right after they mentioned Jesus Christ, I really should have gotten up and said "I'm already here, but thanks for telling them about me."

The other missed opportunity came when we realized that Jason should have told them, "No, I'm not interested. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to killing demon cultists."

You actually play old-school D & D? Like, not with the computer, but with other live people, in person as it were?

If so, then all you had to do to get rid of the missionaries was invite them to play. :-)

Yep. We're actually playing the Rules Cyclopedia version which is pretty much original D&D, wherein Dwarf, Elf and Halfling are are both races and classes. (I.e., you're not an Elf Fighter, you're just an Elf.)

How do you find people to play with?

Well, I was a game with a couple of them before we started this campaign, and we just asked a couple other friends to join.
