Was watching Adult Swim on Cartoon Network last night, mostly for "Family Guy" and "Futurama".... after that was anime, which I was barely paying attention to while reading, but I noticed something...

There are genres of anime, just like there are genres of books, movies, hell, any form of entertainment.

With anime, however, there is a 'Something was lost in translation', because "Big O" makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Not on the same 'no fucking sense' level as, say, FLCL, but from what I understand, FLCL doesn't even make sense in the original language.

Yeah, but FLCL is "makes no fucking sense", while Big O is "makes no fucking sense, but at least has good mecha battles". I mean, I've watched episodes of each with the sound off, and FLCL still makes no sense, while Big O becomes comprehensible... mostly.
