What I'd like to see after the Year of Fire

If you're not in the Camarilla, and/or don't play White Wolf games, you won't get this. Move along citizen.

1) No more clans. Failing that, at least get rid of the bone-stupid ones.
2) No Disciplines that require more pages devoted to rules and rules updates then the description of the Discipline. In particular, no Thaumaturgy, Necromancy, or Chimerstry.
3) No more eco-warrior Werewolves.
4) Make up your god-damn mind on how Mortal Sorcery works.
5) While you're at it, get rid of the bone-stupid Psychic Numina.
6) A consistent back-story, even if it's in-house only, that explains where everything comes from. It's okay to lie in the flavour text, but when the in-house developers can't keep things straight, crap like in DSotBH creep in.
7) A unified Vampire venue.
8) A fully supported Mortals venue.
9) Use of Kindred of the East and the rules contained therein.
10) Active use of a spell-checker and a proofreader.

I'll think of more later...

Are there really stupid clans, or just stupid players? (Or players who need to be guided in their roleplaying)
2) No Disciplines that require more pages devoted to rules and rules updates then the description of the Discipline. In particular, no Thaumaturgy, Necromancy, or Chimerstry.</>
Yeah, I'm down with that.
3) No more eco-warrior Werewolves.
Why not, thats at least part of the game concept.
4) Make up your god-damn mind on how Mortal Sorcery works.
Yeah, I'm down with that, too.
5) While you're at it, get rid of the bone-stupid Psychic Numina.
Which do you consider bone-stupid?
6) A consistent back-story, even if it's in-house only, that explains where everything comes from. It's okay to lie in the flavour text, but when the in-house developers can't keep things straight, crap like in DSotBH creep in.
yeah that would be nice. They need someone like the crew that read for the Star Wars and Star Trek novels where they have like 3 books a month coming out, but they are all more or less consistent.
7) A unified Vampire venue.
I could live with that
8) A fully supported Mortals venue.
Hell yeah!
9) Use of Kindred of the East and the rules contained therein.
Honestly, I have the book, I skimmed the book, I really have no opinion.
10) Active use of a spell-checker and a proofreader.
I'd volunteer to do it for 2 copies of the published book. I'd also like a functional (and decent) index, even if it was in 7pt arial narrow in 3 columns to make it fit in on 4 pages.

1) Perhaps I should have included bloodlines. In my mind, most of the bloodlines are incredibly poorly written. As for bone-stupid clans, I meant the Tremere. The Tremere are some cracked out developers idea of a power game. (Let's play Mage! Let's play Vampire! Let's do both at the same time!)

3) Yes, but if I wanted to play Live-Action Captain Planet, I'm sure I could find that somewhere.

5) Bone stupid Psychic Numina include, but are not limited to Animal Psychics, Cyberkinesis, Psychoportation, and the splitting of Telepathy into seperate powers. Frankly, the Psychic Numina section looks like someone got their ideas from the worst parts of AD&D 2nd edition psionics. Furthermore, the inclusion of many of the (IMAO, unnecessary) Psychic Numina took away from space that could have been devoted to actually putting rules and guidelines in for Mortal Sorcery.

As for the index, oh god yes, it would be so nice if they actually included a correct index in every book.

1) yeah, Tremere are cracked out. as for bloodlines, you mean they actually wrote more than 4 sentances about any of them?!?!?

3) I guess if *everyone* is playing "captain planet" it sucks, but if you have 1 in 20, it isn't so bad. I haven't seen the problem up close, though.

5) I bow to your superior knowledge of the venue.
