That's fairly traditional vatican doctrine though, they've long held that there would be no need for divorce if everyone went through their prenup bobbins.

If they didn't also object to trial periods living as a couple &c, they might actually be onto something, but as it is, it's just hidebound bollocks.

Yeah, it's just the arrogance of it. "Oh, all married couples would stay married if they followed our exact plans down to the letter. We here at the Catholic Church are incapable of mistakes. Just ignore the paedophilia behind the curtain."
