What a shock

The Westboro Baptist Church has decided not to picket the dead child's funeral in Arizona.

Not because they realized that it was a real shit thing to do.
Not because there was the very real possibility that they would get pounded like cheap veal.

Because they 'traded' that picket for air time on a couple of radio stations. This seems to be a pattern... publicly announce that they are picketing some high profile funeral, but decide not to do it if they can manage to get some air time on a radio station.

It certainly makes sense if you go with the theory that the WBC is a scam to sue people for civil rights infringements.

GOOD!

Because the radio has an "off" knob, as well as tuner. Thus, the attendees at any particular funeral have the choice, finally, of NOT having the WBC as part of their day.
