The "Ground Zero Mosque" (actually two blocks away from Ground Zero) has been okay'd by NYC's Landmarks Preservation Committee. That was the final hurdle before construction could begin.

This, by the way, is the mosque that Sarah Palin wanted Muslims to 'refudiate'.

Actually, it's not even a Mosque. There is a prayer room, but it's going to have a swimming pool and sports center and all kind of other things that one wouldn't find in a Mosque.
