Things about me that seem to genuinely shock people

(These have all come up within the last two days)

1 - I am part of a set of identical triplets. (Apparently, people can grasp twins, and if I was part of some Duggar-esque family of umpteen kids, it's also no problem to get, but the concept of identical triplets mindfucks a lot of people.)

2 - I don't drink alcohol. At all. And it's not for religious reasons. (See, if I was a non-drinking Baptist, people around here could understand that. When I reply with "No, I'm not a Baptist." their next thought, based on the panicked look on their faces is "Oh shit, he's converted to Islam.")

3 - I am not in my 20s. (I turn 38 next month. Apparently I don't look it. Mind you, I can see the grey and white hairs in my beard. No one else seems to notice them.)

Does that mean you could like, have one of your siblings stand in for you at jury duty? That'd rock.

Potentially, yes. Realistically, no.

For one thing, one of my identical brothers lives out in California. Doubt he'd make a 3000+ mile trip to save me from jury duty.

For another thing, the other one of my identical brothers has no reason to spare me from jury duty considering how I made fun of him having to sit around for hours waiting to be selected the last time he had jury duty.

Well, it was mainly just two days of sitting around doing much of nothing. Got pulled into two juries but not selected for either.

Aye, there's three of us (well, technically 4, but the youngest is nearly 10 years younger). But for the initial set, as you get younger, you get stranger.

A lot of people (including most of my co-workers) seem to think I'm at least half a decade younger then I really am.
