You have the right to remain silent, but you have to say that you want to remain silent.

Which really, saying "I am remaining silent." is the legal version of "This page intentionally left blank." By saying it, you break your silence, but you affirm your right.

Well how can you excercise your right to reamin silent if you have to open your mouth and talk about it?

It reminds me of that scene in raising Arizona where Hy's prison buddies are robbing the bank and they yell "Every body freeze!" and "Down on the ground!"

And the old dude goes "Well if'n I freeze then I cain't get down on the ground, cause if i get down on the ground I'll be a movin'."
