(no subject)

So I watched Hitman tonight.

It's pretty much a train wreck of a movie. I mean, it's possible it could be worse, but only if Uwe Boll was directing.

That being said, I have actually only one complaint. If, as set forth in the movie, there was a shadowy organization training assassins from birth, what dumbass thought it would be a cool idea to have them have barcodes tattooed on the backs of their heads?

I mean, come the fuck on. I'm willing to buy, for the sake of suspension of disbelief, that they're all highly trained and blah blah blah.... but if there is a Rule 1 of being a professional assassin it's DON'T GET NOTICED.

As a movie-movie, it was not great.

As a video game movie, it was fantastic. Just, given the bar is set so low.

And it did stay somewhat true to the games in a way.

*nod* As a video-game movie, it may be the best ever. (Although I have a soft spot for the Super Mario Bros. movie, just for Dennis Hopper playing King Koopa, and the elevator of swaying Goombas.)

I couldn't get through the SMB flick. I have some sort of allergy to John Leguazamo. (or however you spell it.)
