Catholic school declines re-admission of child of lesbian parents.
Yeah, because it violates the moral standards of Catholicism. One assumes that they've already kicked out all the children of divorced or philandering parents, and God help the child (pun intended) if they have a ham sandwich at school on Fridays.
One would think they would welcome the child of lesbian parents in an effort to moralize/indoctrinate the kid in why "Mommy's special friend is going to Hell". Ultimately, if they're not getting any money from the state or the feds, yeah, they can make their own decisions on who they allow in or not, but that doesn't make it a good choice.

Most Catholic schools teach a 'Religion' class in every grade - it's one of the reasons that parents send their children to such schools. In 2004 - the last time I had this sort of argument - 96% of teachers for grades Five through 12 cited 'Homosexuality and God' as the most often broached conversation by their students. In the same article where I got said statistic back when, most teachers asked said that they tried to give the least condemning argument that they could on the subject, while still keeping it in line with their religious beliefs.
So, 96%. That makes it pretty likely that a child who attends a Catholic school from 5th grade through 12th will hear the subject brought up several times per year, and in each instance - no matter how liberal the interpretation of scripture gets - they are informed that the Church feels same-sex relationships are a-moral. Can you imagine being a little boy constantly hearing that your parents' love is against God, and that they are going to hell for it. (The condemnation is a very conservative view of the Church's stance, but it's also the most prevalent.) Personally, if I were a Religious Studies teacher, I'd pray I never had a student who would suffer so much under my care.
It's hard enough having homosexual parents. The children are already going to be ridiculed and emotionally attacked on a daily basis. I, for one, wouldn't want to put them in a situation which increases the frequency of such.

Post Script: To note, I'm not upset about what you posted - just passionate about my religion. I, as a heterosexual Catholic male, remain uncertain about God's view of sexuality, and frequently pray that the condemnation of same sex coupling is something that the Church got wrong.
