Well, that's cheery to know
Phoenix, Arizona is joining Columbia, South Carolina in a "Man, fuck the homeless" kickoff.
(The Columbia, SC reference is to one of our city council, E.W. Cromartie, getting a case of the hairy ass over the Salvation Army using one of their lease properties to run a soup kitchen. He is however, now claiming that the city shouldn't sue the Salvation Army in spite of him saying they should pursue all options to keep the SA from opening the soup kitchen.)
*sigh*
I don't like homeless people coming into the store during the night and trying to stay there and/or bum change, but trying to shut down programs that feed the homeless isn't going to make the homeless go away.

As it stands, we've had to tell a couple of the more argumentative ones (shouting and cussing for the most part) that they aren't allowed back in the store, or we'll call the cops on them. Right now, I only have two 'regulars', and I had to call the cops on one of them last night.
