seriously, Na'vi-kin?

So, I have this theory.... otherkin were created so the furries have someone to look down on.

Edit: And I just saw someone with a Na'vi toon in City of Heroes. *facepalm* (But it was named 'Dances with Smurfs' so it's almost okay.)

Welcome to two weeks ago.

Did you say that then? I was following a link (foolish of me, I know) to one of the Na'vi-kin communities and the fucking stupid is rampant there.

Oh, I saw that. But it doesn't address my theory that it's specifically created so the furries have someone to look down on.

Same as any other group of odd folks. People who feel like outcasts decide to pretend they're not only different, they're superior because they're so obviously not hoomans.

On the one hand, I can see that.

On the other, grow up. Yanno?

See, here's the thing. I could accept it if someone said "{blah} is my totem animal" well, there's some Native American beliefs to that. The whole "I have a dragon soul" or the most recent idiocies of "I have a Na'vi soul" is delusional and retarded.

This must be how [livejournal.com profile] flemco feels about all religions.

Hence my saying they should grow up.

Pretending/believing you are something out of fiction is for children. These people are just sad.

Ah, you missed my post last week about them.

Yes, apparently there are a bunch of people who think that, spiritually, they are Na'vi.

I think they need the sweatshirts with the extra long sleeves myself.

I'm thinking of posting to one of the communities with "Na'vi did not exist before four years ago! Seek psychiatric help, you delusional fuckwits!"
