So, I live in South Carolina. The Governor here, Mark Sanford, is still trying to pull himself up by his jockstrap (politically, that is) after admitting his affair. His wife has moved out of the Governor's Mansion. He's being hammered on for allegedly using state planes for personal trips and for flying first class at taxpayer expense. (That later one is actually a big deal, considering Sanford has billed himself as financially conservative and insists state employees should fly cheaply if at all possible.)

And now, the man who would take over the rest of Sanford's term, should he resign is.... yeah, calling for him to resign.

*sigh* Yeah.

Honestly, there are still Republicans who promote and uphold family values. It just never makes the news. "Representative Such-and-such has remained married to his wife for 25 years today. And now, sports."
