[WoW] Oh boy....
One of the new items being added to Engineering is the "Goblin Welding Beam", which can be used to heal mechanical mobs, at a rate of 700 damage a second, for 10 seconds on a two-minute cooldown. It has 30 charges, and is completely worthless.
You see, if it's an Engineering-created mechanical mob, it doesn't last long enough to be healed, as they're typically only out for a minute, can easily be one-shotted, etc.
But, ahah, you can heal siege engines with it! That makes it useful, right?
WRONG!

Yay! We get a new item that sucks monkey ass!

There are a lot of engineering changes. You are complaining about one that is less then useful to you.
Look at the leatherworking ones. How many of those do you think my druid will actually get to use.

The Nitro boosts are on an upswing in the nerf/buff cycle, but we still can't use them in Arenas.
About the only real buff (and that's a backhanded one too) is the effect boost we get from potion injectors. It's a backhanded one, because with 3.2, everyone will be able to stack all potions up to 20.
Where are any items for Engineering that have an iLevel higher then 200? JC has them. Blacksmithing has them. Leatherworking has them. Tailoring has them.
Engineering? *cricket noises*
There was the perfect opportunity to address a lot of WotLK Engineering deficiencies in Ulduar, but the only schematics we got out of Ulduar were.... *cricket noises*
Oh wait, we can salvage motorcycle parts from three bosses. Can. Not will. Can. And apparently, it's a very low percentage chance.
Wheeeeeeeee!
Good things coming, MY ENTIRE ASS.
