I've been given another HeroClix figure....

Storm, to be specific, and not the wussy "I've lost all my mutant powers through a bad deus ex machina" version. Now, I don't play HeroClix, so I can't figure out why two of my co-workers keep offering to give them to me (I've been promised a Toad figure as well), but there you go...

I have been informed, though, that there will be no Spawn figure in IndyClix, because Todd McFarland is a jackass. Oh, you want further explanation? Okay... he demanded that any Spawn HeroClix figures must have a real cloth cape and real chains on the figure. Tiny chains, I guess.

Apparently, he doesn't realize that the typical figure is, tops, an inch and a half tall, made of plastic, and mass produced.

"Mr. McFarland, we'd like to basically give you free advertising for your comic, by casting a collectible plastic figure that we can mass market."

Response: "Sure, here is my list of completely unreasonable demands, which would not only ensure an incredibly limited run of figures, but no profit margin on this figure, and would also eat into the profit margin on your other products."

Like I said, idiot.

Oh I know. But they are of a nice enough quality just to get for the hell of it. But then I collect those kinda things. My point being that nifty Spawn ones could be done and people would buy them just cause it's Spawn.

Ok. As far as figure quality goes, they would be worth collecting to someone who would want one.

And I don't disagree with you on the Spawn thing either. People would, and have, bought Spawn figures and such for a while. However, the lisping Tony Danza that is Toddy Mac is a bit touched in the head to expect and/or want real chains and a cloth cape for a 1 1/4 inch figure.

Oh you won't find me arguing about T.M. He's not only touched in the head, he's an asshole to boot. I'm jsut saying it's possible to do what he wants with the larger Hero-clix figures. I never disagreed that it was a stupid idea to want it of the small figures though :o)
