goddamnit

For some fucking reason, my internet connection keeps going out. I can get maybe 20-30 minutes (at best) of WoW in before "Oops, we're dropping connection for no damned reason".

I end up having to reboot the computer most of the time to get it to come back up. The router, meanwhile, is saying everything is fine.

On Comcast, if they get congested on a local level, they'll start reseting IP numbers, usually every 22 or 44 minutes, here in Abq, NM area.

It's stopped doing it now, but I really doubt that's the reason... I mean, I could see it being congested at 5 pm - 9 pm, you know?

Not at 5:30-6:30 in the morning.

Actually, it's usually most congested overnight, when most people are running bittorrents.

..... I had not considered that. And while there are a number of old people in the building who are highly unlikely to be doing that, there are a number of college students as well.

I'll have to see if it does it again tonight when I'm trying to play WoW.
