I swear

I'm just going to have to challenge Jon LeCraft to a duel and get it over with.

The thing is, the +90 stamina bracer thing you make in Leatherworking is BETTER then the +stamina enchant through Enchanting. You get a net bonus that non-Leatherworkers cannot get (at least that way).

Blacksmiths can add extra sockets that others cannot get.
Jewelcrafters can get better gems in three sockets that non-JCs cannot get.
Scribes can get better shoulder enchants that non-Scribes cannot get.

Engineers get tinkers that share the same spot as Enchants and are for the most part, fucking worthless.

Not going to argue that the +90 is better. It is. Pretty much any of the Fur Linings are better then the enchants. The difference is that a) only a couple are trainable (the rest are supposedly drops; don't know, haven't seen them drop) and b) It's rare components. Between the fur linings and other things I've made for guildies, the number of Arctic Fur I have at any time is less then 10. And I can spend a couple of hours farming and not get one.

But yes, it appears that most of the tinkers appear to be underpowered. Though the haste (gloves) or rocket (also gloves) appear to be fun. The belt-clipped spynoculars appear mostly useless, except for the fact that you can now put on a decent piece of headgear.

I think part of the problem is that engineering is largely geared towards hunters. If you aren't shooting something, you aren't getting the most out of the profession.

Honestly, I would switch to skinning/leatherworking or tailoring/enchanting. You are going to get more out of it. Or drop engineering and take up skinning and use that just to haul in cash, since you can sell your titansteel cooldown.
