I'm torn on this.

McCain demands NC Republican party remove attack ad

Okay, for those who don't want to click the link, here's the short version: The North Carolina Republican party ran an anti-Obama ad, that also slammed some of the in-state gubenatorial candidates who have endorsed Obama.

McCain is demanding they pull it.

So, why?

Because he wants a clean campaign? Or he just wants to be seen as wanting one?

Man, I liked the 2000 version of McCain a lot more then I like the 2008 one, even with this....

The attack ads are going after NC state democrat candidates, and (from what I gather) run along the lines of "Here's Obama. Here's Obama's crazy pastor. Do you want to elect people like Obama who listen to people like Obama's crazy pastor? No? Vote Republican." McCain said "I don't need this. Don't run them." NC State republicans said "With respect, tough shit." ... but now that McCain's made it public that he disagrees with it, neither Clinton nor Obama can use it against him. No one wants to eat shit when they didn't order it off the menu, after all...
