So there's an article on Yahoo

about whether South Carolina would be a 'make it or break it' state for McCain.

I think it will be, but not for the reasons listed in the article. The article is acting like Romney is the man for McCain to beat. I don't think he is, at least not in South Carolina. The man to beat in South Carolina is Huckabee. I'm not saying Romney couldn't do well here or that it's impossible that he could pull off a win in the primary... but the fact of the matter is, Huckabee is going to have a lot stronger showing here in South Carolina then he did in Michigan. And he's probably going to have a strong showing in most of the rest of the southern states (especially the southeastern ones). Of course, Huckabee winning the south may not be a good thing, considering how Jesus-freaky he's been getting.

But on a more upbeat note, Guiliani only got 3% in Michigan. HA HA.

I have to say... while I don't want a Rudy presidency, I really want him to do better in the primaries. A strong showing for Rudy would marginalize the Religious Reich and send a much-needed signal that religion needs to stay the hell out of politics.

Honestly, though, I would almost expect that if Guiliani started doing better, he would start bringing Jesus-freakery into his speeches.
