If you bother to read *why* the committee awarded him the prize, it makes sense. Kissinger isn't a nutcase. Kissinger is a war criminal.

The thing of it is, it's "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change".

And this promotes peace how? Hell, if anything, Gore being involved in this has made the U.S. (under the Commander Guy) even more obstinate about doing anything to remedy global warming.

There is empirical evidence that demonstrates a link between climate change and violence in places like Africa, so making people aware of climate change and attempting to drive attempts to fix it does, in fact, have a direct impact on peace.
