are expo/convention people.
"Hi, we're putting on a convention this weekend that we've obviously been planning for a long time, but gosh, wouldn't you know it, we forgot to do all the printing. Could you drop all the other jobs your co-workers took and run this stuff for us? By the way, it's a black expo, so Mr. White Guy, everyone who comes in for printing tonight will be calling you a racist if you don't drop everything and help them."
And I got called a racist twice. Plus a few other choice epithets.
Or, in other words: Fuuuuuuuck.
Sometimes, this job really sucks.
Update: And guess what? The store just closed. We're having electrical work done today (which apparently, no one but the manager knew about, and he didn't tell anyone...), so I worked my ass off to get jobs done on time, but it won't matter now because the doors are locked....
Which will probably make tonight that much more fun as I get to play catch up on everything that normally would have come in much earlier.... hrm... unless it's closed long enough where all the regular customers go elsewhere...
