Started my week's vacation. (No, I'm not going anywhere. I just don't have to go in to work for a week.)

IT manager for a printing company with 6 plants across 3 states. And yeah, me and my trainee are the Entire IT dept for all 6 plants. Fun!

I technically COULD take a vacation but the second something goes wrong to stop production, my bliss would be interrupted by a call.

Hopefully in a few months time, said minion will be up to speed enough to handle things so I can go off the grid for a week or so. *fingers crossed*

People don't get the PFY reference? How odd... but then more than half the people here don't get my BOFH references, but then most, including me, are programmers. I just do a little sysadmin work on the side. And SQL-Admin. And mail admin. Sever config. System restoration. Troubleshooting.


I think I need a raise.
