The director has been on record as saying that if you liked the original Transformers (cartoon, I am guessing) that you will NOT like the movie.

That's as may be, but at least it isn't Uwe Boll directing. This could be the biggest flop of the year, but the director can at least walk away saying "It could have been worse. I could have directed "Alone in the Dark".
